Shawn Jackman (Jack) CWNE#54 is a personal friend and has been a mentor to me for many years.  I've had the pleasure and opportunity to work with Jack for 4 years. Jack is a great teacher who takes complex 802.11 standards and breaks them down so almost anyone can understand the concept at hand. I'm excited for you brother. Great job and job well done! Put another notch in the belt!

Cisco WLC Code 7.0.98.0 Deferred Status

It has come to my attention that code 7.0.98.0 was moved to "deferred status".

This is pretty relevant information as customers are still on this revision. Perhaps it may be because of the number of related bugs in this release ? Please comment if you have any details .. Thanks

I'm thinking the recommended 7.0 code will be the 7.0.235.3 release. But I think there are a lot of folks out there running the .220 release as well.

I was under the impression the code is/was unstable and has been known to cause crashes of the Controller hence the restriction.. have several clients still on that code as well and need to upgrade as soon as it is convenient!

There is an attached notice to the SW:

I'd say the reccomended would be 7.0.240.0 now - has a host of additional bug fixes. I've just deployed at a site and all looks good so far. 7.0.98.0 has so many bugs that you'd want to be off it - I have personally seen quite a few of them and can reccomend an upgrade.
